Ann Arbor Job Luck Club Resource Page
The AWC is committed to advancing women in computing fields. This
includes women who are currently unemployed. To that end we have put together
a list of resources for our job hunting members. Thanks to Tina Watson for
putting together this list.
If you know of a site that should be listed here but is not, please contact
our Careers Director at careers@awc-aa.org.
Each of the sites listed on this page will open in a new window.

Other Tips/Resources
- More than 50% of jobs are found through networking. Tell
everyone you know that you're looking. Try to go to about 2 events per week
to meet new people.
- Business Direct Weekly and Crain's Detroit both publish a 'Book of Lists'
in December. Check them out at the library. They're great for learning about
what companies are in the area. The lists are things like, 'Top 100 Employers
in Ann Arbor'.
- Make yourself a Business Card to use when networking. Put your name, contact
information and top 3 skills on it. You can print your own or use vistaprint.com
- Use more than one to broaden your impact. Each recruiter will have contacts
with only certain companies.
- Cultivate a relationship with each recruiter and check in regularly. Don't
just send your resume to the firm.
- Make sure that each firm you work with will check with you before submitting
you to a job. You don't want to be submitted by two firms for the same job.
