How does the
job fair work?
After you sign in at the reception desk, you will be directed to the
rooms where participating employers are waiting to meet you. You are
encouraged to approach employers with your resume and attend the career
development workshops on site. There are workshops to attend - 9-10AM
and 2-3PM. If you arrive at 9 you will be directed to the workshop while
the employers are setting up.
How can I assure
that the employers I want to see my resume will get it?
All attendees will have their resumes included in a resume portfolio
which will be made available to all employers in attendance.
Are the employers
only looking for candidates with technology degrees?
No. The participating employers are looking for candidates with a variety
of skills and degrees.
Why is AWC organizing
a job fair?
AWC organizes a variety of events throughout the year to provide opportunities
for career development and personal networking. This event is also one
of several which will benefit the AWC scholarship fund.
What should I
wear?
Dress professionally in a manner that will allow you to best represent
yourself to employers.
Where will I
park?
There is plenty of parking on-site.
Do I have to
stay the entire time of the job fair?
You are welcome to come and go as you please.
Will there be
food?
There are vending machines available.
